Miller Homes' deposit match helps buyers afford new home

Fife first time buyers desperate to get on the property ladder can relax thanks to Miller Homes’ Deposit Match scheme. The five star housebuilder, which has a reputation for building communities, will fund up to five per cent of the purchase price of the property. The housebuyer will pay the additional five per cent, giving them the required deposit in order to obtain a 90 per cent mortgage.

The incentive is especially useful for househunters keen to snap up one of the 154 stylish two bedroom apartments or three bedroom duplexes at Miller Homes’ Victoria Mills development in Dunfermline.

Built on the former linen works in the town’s Pilmur Street, housebuyers will be able to start moving into the development, which is close to the town centre and refurbished Carnegie Leisure Centre, in the autumn.

With prices starting at £93,000 for a two bedroom apartment, housebuyers will only be required to save a £4,650 deposit as Miller Homes will provide the other £4,650.

Anne Marie Britton, Sales Director at Miller Homes Scotland East, said:

“With first time buyers in particular finding it incredibly tough to get a 10 per cent deposit pulled together, our Deposit Match incentive is the perfect way to help them with their finances.

“Also, as the development will not be ready to move into until the autumn, this gives housebuyers the chance to save up for home furnishings for a few more months. It’s a win-win situation really.”

Victoria Mills is being built on the site of a 19th century linen works, the facade of which will be retained in the development.

The marketing suite is open Friday-Sunday from 11am-6pm. For more information visit the site, call 0800 840 8418 or visit: www.millerhomes.co.uk.
